Lift Your Hands

DAY 8 OF 14

David didn’t let criticism or judgment stop him from worshiping God. His worship wasn’t a performance—it was a personal response to God’s faithfulness. Michal despised him for dancing, but David knew his worship wasn’t for her approval; it was for God’s glory.

He remembered where God had brought him from. God had chosen him when no one knew his name—when he was alone in the cold fields with the sheep. He had nothing, yet God anointed him and lifted him up. That’s why David refused to hold back. He was willing to look undignified, to be misunderstood or even mocked, because his worship wasn’t about people’s opinions. It was about honoring the One who had done so much for him.

How often do we hold back in worship because we fear what others might think? Genuine worship flows from authenticity—from hearts that remember what God has done. When you realize how far God has brought you, you stop caring about the opinions of others. Worship becomes your declaration: God, You are worthy—no matter who’s watching.

PRAYER:

Lord, help me to be free from the fear of people’s opinions. Help me worship You with authenticity and abandon, remembering that my praise is for You, and You alone, Amen.

About this Plan

Lift Your Hands

What if just a few minutes of worship each day could change everything? When you take time to focus on God, your relationship with Him deepens, and your heart starts to align with His truth and love. Even a few moments a day can renew your mind, lift your mood, and help you sense His presence throughout your day. Worship softens the heart, lifts heaviness, and frees us from the weight and noise of the world. Our prayer is that this devotional helps you lean into your purpose, see life clearer, and experience God in a fresh, personal way.
