The Divine Exchange: Trading Your Plans for God’s Purpose

DAY 19 OF 30

God’s Classroom of Trust

I never enrolled in God’s school of trust — I was simply “admitted.” No orientation, no course outline, and definitely no withdrawal option. One day I was confidently a business owner, and the next I was attending daily lessons on dependence.

At first, I thought trust meant believing that things would turn out my way. It took several divine corrections (and a few teary nights) to discover that trust means believing things will turn out His way — and still being okay with it.

I remember one particular month when the bills were due, the bank account was quiet, and I was having what I like to call a “faith migraine.” I prayed, “Lord, I trust You… but could You just give me a hint?” His response came softly: “If you had all the answers, you wouldn’t need Me.”

That line settled something deep in me. God doesn’t test trust to break us; He tests it to strengthen us. Every unpaid bill, delayed breakthrough, or unexpected detour was part of His curriculum. And when I finally stopped trying to graduate early, I realised—trust wasn’t a lesson to pass. It was a lifestyle to live.

Lesson
Trust is God’s favourite classroom because it keeps us close to the Teacher. You don’t need to understand the syllabus; you just need to stay enrolled. When life doesn’t make sense, remember—He’s still writing the exam, and grace is the answer key.
