The Divine Exchange: Trading Your Plans for God’s PurposeSample

The Divine Exchange
When I look back now, I smile — not the “everything-was-easy” kind of smile, but the one that comes from surviving the refining fire and realising it was actually a blessing in disguise.
The day I closed my business, I thought I was losing everything. But in truth, I was entering into The Divine Exchange. God took my striving and gave me stillness. He took my ambition and gave me assignment. He took my business — and gave me His.
Over time, I began to understand what He meant. It wasn’t about entrepreneurship versus ministry; it was about ownership. I had to stop managing my life like a company and start surrendering it like a covenant. Every “no” became an invitation to something greater.
The fruit I see now — authors rising, nations connecting, Kingdom impact spreading — is not the result of clever strategy. It’s the result of surrender. I gave Him my plans; He gave me purpose. I gave Him my disappointments; He gave me destiny. I gave Him my will; He gave me His way.
And I’ve learned this: God never kills something unless He plans to resurrect it — stronger, purer, and aligned with eternity.
Lesson
The greatest exchange you’ll ever make is trading your plan for God’s purpose. It may cost you comfort, but it will give you clarity. It may break your pride, but it will birth your peace. In the end, what He gives is always far greater than what you lose. Let His way become your way — because in His business, obedience is always the best investment.
