The Divine Exchange: Trading Your Plans for God’s PurposeSample

The Blessing of Starting Small
When God began rebuilding my life through literature or books, I expected a grand relaunch — banners, trumpets, and maybe an angelic press release. Instead, He gave me… a desk, a few manuscripts, and a simple printer.
It didn’t look like revival; it looked like redundancy. I had gone from managing a thriving business to stapling booklets at CLC Kenya. But somewhere between the piles of paper and late-night proofreads, I was experiencing something wonderful — peace. The kind I had never known before.
I started small — one author, one idea, one day at a time. And that’s when I discovered God’s rhythm. He doesn’t rush fruit; He grows roots. Each “small” assignment became a test of faithfulness, not fame.
Looking back now, I realise that Heaven’s arithmetic is beautifully upside down. What starts small in the hands of a surrendered heart often ends up multiplying beyond imagination. It’s the mustard seed principle — quiet beginnings, loud endings.
Lesson
Don’t despise small beginnings; they’re sacred beginnings. God starts small to build something that can stand tall. The size of your start doesn’t determine the scale of your impact — obedience does. Remember, even Jesus began in a manger, not a mansion.
