Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

DAY 66 OF 365

There we saw the giants . . . and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight (Numbers 13:33 NKJV).

Is your faith greater than the biggest obstacle you face?

In today’s reading, Og, a giant king, seemed like an immovable mountain, but God assured Moses of victory (Deuteronomy 3). Despite the challenge, God delivered mighty King Og into Israel's hands, proving His power.

As we also read today, Jesus taught, "Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says" (Mark 11:22–23 NKJV).

Take some time to compare Israel's victory over King Og to Jesus' teaching on faith. We see that God's promises defy human limitations. Just as Israel conquered a giant, faith in God can move mountains. Do you have that faith? Do you truly believe that God can do anything? I hope you do!

Employment Point: Trust God for the impossible.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
