Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ (Ephesians 3:8 NKJV).
Are you modeling Christian values to men and angels?
In Ephesians 3, Paul was entrusted with a profound mystery: to reveal that through Christ, Jews and Gentiles would be united as one body—the Church. God’s great apostle and missionary to the Gentiles embraces his stewardship to show the glories of this mystery, which causes him to marvel.
Our responsibility as the Church is to “live out” Jesus’ values, not just for people to see, but also for angels to witness: “now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 3:10 NKJV).
Consider this: even angels are observing how we embody the Gospel! Are you aware of what you’re demonstrating to both the visible and invisible realms? Since they are desirous to investigate the things of the gospel (1 Peter 1:12), let’s display the Lord’s glorious wisdom even to the angels.
Employment Point: Model well the glory of Christ’s one body, the church, to men and angels alike.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
