Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

They wandered in the wilderness in a desolate way; they found no city to dwell in (Psalm 107:4 NKJV).
Are you feeling lost?
Israel often wandered away from God and therefore lacked guidance. But when they repented and asked for His help, God led them in the right direction to a place to live (Psalm 107:7). God wants to guide us, too, but He waits for us to ask for His help.
In contrast, Paul walked closely with God and followed His guidance. He wrote, “But now I am going to Jerusalem to minister to the saints” (Romans 15:25 NKJV). Paul and his companions experienced God's direction because they followed Proverbs 3:6 (NKJV): “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
If you feel aimless, take time to seek God’s guidance through prayer and acknowledge Him in your decisions. Trust that He will lead you on the right path.
Employment Point: Walk with God to be led down the right path.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
