Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1 NKJV).
How confident are you in God’s ability to deliver you from danger?
The word "salvation" in Psalm 27:1 means deliverance. Psalm 50:23 (NKJV) says, “Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; and to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God.” Trusting in God places us on the best path – the path of God’s will.
Paul received similar assurance in Acts 27:24 (NKJV) when an angel told him, “Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar.” Paul confidently declared, “I believe God that it will be just as it was told me” Acts 27:25 (NKJV). We should follow the examples of David and Paul, who trusted in God’s protective hand.
So, if you find yourself in a moment of fear or uncertainty, remind yourself of God’s promises and His ability to protect and deliver you.
Employment Point: Trust solely in God’s delivering power during times of danger.
