Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us? (Luke 24:32 NKJV).
Do you have a burning desire to open the Bible and read its wisdom?
Consider the Queen of Sheba, who traveled far to hear Solomon's Biblical wisdom. She exclaimed, “Happy are your men and happy are these your servants, who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom!” (1 Kings 10:8 NKJV).
Now, think about Jesus: Wisdom in the flesh. After His resurrection, He walked with two of His followers and explained the Scriptures to them. They later exclaimed, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:32 NKJV).
Do you open your Bible and hunger for the wisdom of God? As we read, let's allow our hearts to burn with understanding and illumination. Let's open our Bibles with anticipation, ready to be amazed by God's wisdom.
Employment Point: Allow God’s Word daily to give you biblical heartburn.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
