When Trust Becomes Testimony

DAY 11 OF 30

Trusting His Provision

“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” (Matthew 6:26, NIV)

We long for security and stability. We want to have everything we need, and a little extra as a cushion in case something happens. We want to plan and prepare for lean times, and in striving for certainty, we lose our focus on where these provisions actually come from. It isn’t from our hand, but from our Provider's.

When we worry about having enough, we take our trust off of God and onto ourselves. And we do not have that much power. Life can change suddenly, and we are left trying to piece things back together on our own.

But God takes care of it all. From the smallest detail, He makes sure we look to Him for our sustenance each day. He wants us to depend on Him for our daily bread and what He knows we need. He takes care of the natural world, and the natural world doesn’t worry it won’t have what it needs to survive. We are made in God’s image; how much more precious are we to our Father?

The truth for today is: We can trust God’s provision. He gives us what we need.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for being my Provider. You do give what I need, when I need it. Help me to see where You are each day as I look to You to take care of me. Amen.

Reflection Question:

How has God provided for you in ways you might have overlooked? Thank Him for those provisions.

About this Plan

When Trust Becomes Testimony

When life feels uncertain and the ground beneath us shifts, we need more than vague hope—we need a firm foundation in the unchanging character of the One who holds all things together. God invites us to anchor our lives in who He is: good, faithful, merciful, sovereign, loving, and more. This thirty-day plan shows us His character, teaches us to trust, and challenges us to live it out.
