When Trust Becomes Testimony

DAY 15 OF 30

Week 3: Trusting Through the Hard

When Fear Rises

“So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10, NIV)

Fear is a snake that slyly coils around our hearts and minds and refuses to let go.

It can catch us in the middle of the day, the pitch-black midnight hours, and even when we have nothing worrying us. Fear doesn’t have a preference; it preys on the unsuspecting.

Fear is inevitable. We all get caught in its entanglement, and it can feel unyielding. We thrash and try to think our way out of its hold, but what peels it off of us is when we remember God is holding us. He knows how we will tremble with fear, but He offers us Himself. He assures us that He is our God, and that His presence is with us, even in the darkness. Especially then. When anxiety arises, the antidote is God with us.

Trusting God when we are scared silly doesn’t mean fear goes away the minute we choose to hold to our faith. Trust is courageously stepping into the fear believing God makes a way. He promises to help and strengthen you, and He isn’t going anywhere. When fear rises, you are not alone.

The truth for today is: God is greater than our fear. He upholds us.

Prayer:

Lord, I can get so scared. I forget my way and panic for relief. When anxiety is great within me, remind me of Your presence. Amen.

Reflection Question:

What fear can you bring to God right now? Remember, His presence is with you.

About this Plan

When Trust Becomes Testimony

When life feels uncertain and the ground beneath us shifts, we need more than vague hope—we need a firm foundation in the unchanging character of the One who holds all things together. God invites us to anchor our lives in who He is: good, faithful, merciful, sovereign, loving, and more. This thirty-day plan shows us His character, teaches us to trust, and challenges us to live it out.
