Lent | Week 4: Jesus' Journey to the CrossSample

Jesus Before the Sanhedrin
Have you ever been in a situation where you felt wrongly accused or misjudged? Jesus knew exactly what that felt like. Standing before the Sanhedrin, he was accused of things he hadn’t done. But he didn’t try to defend himself. He stayed silent, trusting that God’s plan would unfold, no matter what.
We all find ourselves in moments where we feel the urge to defend ourselves. But sometimes, it’s in those times of silence and surrender that God’s justice and peace shine through most clearly. Is there something or someone in your life today that you need to trust God with, even if it means staying quiet or letting go of your need to control the outcome?
Pray: Jesus, help me trust in your justice and not in my own ability to defend myself. May I follow your example of silence in the face of false accusations. Amen.

About this Plan

As we move through Lent, we reflect on some of Jesus' most intense moments: his betrayal, arrest, and ultimate sacrifice. These moments remind us that following God’s will isn’t always easy, but it’s worth it. This week, let’s reflect on what it means to choose God’s path, even when it’s hard, and to extend love and grace to others in the face of challenges.
