Lent | Week 4: Jesus' Journey to the CrossSample

The Betrayal of Jesus
Betrayal hits hard. When someone we trust hurts us, it’s one of the toughest things to go through. Jesus felt this deeply too when one of his closest friends, Judas, betrayed him. Even though he knew it was coming, Jesus didn’t lash out. Instead, he handled it with grace.
How often do we find ourselves hurt or let down by others? How can we choose to respond, not with anger, but with the same grace Jesus showed? This doesn’t mean the hurt disappears, but it helps us let go of bitterness. Is there someone in your life today you need to forgive, just as Jesus forgave those who betrayed him?
Pray: Jesus, thank you for showing me how to forgive and love, even when I’m hurt. Help me extend grace to those who have wronged me. Amen.

About this Plan

As we move through Lent, we reflect on some of Jesus' most intense moments: his betrayal, arrest, and ultimate sacrifice. These moments remind us that following God’s will isn’t always easy, but it’s worth it. This week, let’s reflect on what it means to choose God’s path, even when it’s hard, and to extend love and grace to others in the face of challenges.
