“Our Father… your kingdom come” – longing for the spreading of God’s Kingdom.

Prayer for the Kingdom is more than words about the Heavens. It’s a cry of the heart: “Let Your reign be evident here and now!” We ask that God’s presence, His justice, love, and peace would spread in our lives, our community, and our nation.

This prayer is not about waiting passively. It presupposes readiness to become part of the answer. Because by saying: “You Kingdom come”, we’re at the same time admitting: “God, help me be the carrier of Your Kingdom”.

This is especially important today, when there is so much despondency, ruin, and weariness around. God’s Kingdom is reality, where everything is renewed, the wounded are healed, the ruined are rebuilt, and the separated are reconciled. And we’re called to carry this hope.

Question to ask yourself:

Do I really seek God’s Kingdom or, maybe, just for a comfortable life?
Am I ready to be the carrier of Your Kingdom in this world?

Maybe it’s today that God invites you to not only wait for His Kingdom, but to start the branch of God’s Kingdom right now, right here in the broken world.

Let His love form your decisions, impact your relationships, and change the surrounding ambiance. Let the manifestation of His Kingdom be wherever you are.

Throughout this day, choose words that will lead you to a profound dialogue with God about His Kingdom and your place in it:
