What Is "The Way of Christ?"

DAY 6 OF 7

The Way of Glorifying God

Jesus didn’t just come to save us; He came to glorify the Father.

In His final hours before the Cross, He prayed to Him:

“I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do” (John 17:4 ESV).

That’s the model for every man who calls Christ his Lord.

The Way of Christ isn’t about building a platform or reputation; it’s about making God look great in how you work, how you serve, how you suffer, and how you lead.

Whether you’re fixing trucks, leading meetings, or coaching your kid’s hockey team, the mission doesn’t change:

Your life is meant to reflect His greatness.

Men, this is about legacy. When people look at your life, your discipline, your courage, your humility, do they walk away more impressed with you, or with the God who created you and whom you serve?

Bringing glory to God isn’t passive. It’s about excellence without ego. Leadership without spotlight. Strength under control. The kind of masculinity that turns heads not because it's loud but because it's rooted in Christ.

Jesus was a man who lived this out in everything He did. Men who follow Him do the same.

This is The Way.

Prayer: Father, I confess how easily I make life about me. Help me live in a way that reflects Your glory. May my words, my work, and my walk all point people back to You. Amen.

Reflection: Today, take one task you normally do on autopilot—your commute, your job, your workout, etc.—and ask, How can I do this in a way that glorifies God?” Then do it with intentional excellence!

About this Plan

What Is "The Way of Christ?"

Men are called to "follow" after Jesus. But what exactly does that mean? How does a guy do it, and how does he even know what to do? The Way of Christ is the calling, and we will take this week to explore this Way. Written by Steven Sukkau.
