God Says I Am: Embracing Peace & Walking in PowerSample

God says I am … carefully crafted.
Do you ever feel like a jumbled mess of mistakes, insecurities, and bad habits? It can be frustrating when you make the same mistakes, think the same negative thoughts, do what you know isn’t good for you—over and over again.
It can leave you questioning who you are, how you were made—and even the One who made you.
Why did God create me this way? There are so many things wrong with me, and I don’t know how to fix them.
If you’ve ever felt this way, there is hope—and you’re not alone. God pieced you together uniquely and intentionally with purpose, even in the places you don’t understand.
Psalm 139 offers proof of this, and shining through each verse is the truth about how God created you.
“For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made …” (Psalm 139:13–14, NIV).
Let that soak in. You were “knit together,” lovingly created by God. How amazing is that? God created you as an individual, and He put you together piece by piece.
That doesn’t mean you’re perfect—or that you ever will be. We live in a broken world, and no one is untouched by sin or struggle. Each of us carries past mistakes, regrets, or patterns we wish we could change.
Perfection just isn’t possible. No matter how hard you try, you will have flaws.
But your imperfections do have a purpose: to magnify God. Paul writes, “... for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Corinthians 12:10, NIV).
You are a beautiful creation, carefully crafted by God. He has given you everything you need—and He invites you to rely on Him to strengthen your faith and help you navigate the path ahead.
Dear Lord,
You took so much time and care to create me, and that blows me away. When I doubt who I am, remind me that You “knit me together” and that everything I am was put together by You. As I rest in that, I also ask that You highlight things that need to change in me so I can become a better reflection of You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
