SECURITY
Ugh. That's all I can say when I think about airport security. It can be an absolute madhouse, depending on the time and day of the week you have to go through it. All the rules and regulations that must be adhered to...it can almost make you back out of a trip. For me, there's nothing more annoying than having to take my shoes off, empty my pockets, make sure I don't have any metal on me, take out my laptop, etc., just to get approval to go on this expensive flight I have paid for.
We have all learned, however, that we are living in perilous times. There must be rules and regulations in places like this to protect us from dangerous people with ill intent because we live in a sin-filled fallen world.
How do we ensure we are secure for our final flight to Jesus? There are at least three key elements to secure that destiny:
1. Salvation through Jesus Christ is of the utmost importance. If you don't have this, please reach out. I am happy to walk you through the easy process. (John 3:16)
2. Examine yourself, make adjustments with repentance in prayer, and turn away from any hidden and/or willful sin. (1 Thess. 5:21, 2 Cor. 13:5)
3. Daily Bible study and the hiding of God's Word in your heart. (2 Tim. 2:15, Psa. 119:11)
We can be secure in Jesus, but we must make choices to gain that security. It doesn't happen because of our ancestors' beliefs or because some earthly man takes on our confessions.
No one comes to the Father except through Jesus Christ (John 14:6); an intimate and genuine conversation between you and Him makes all the difference. It's as simple as that.
It's not a stressful, crowded situation like that in an airport to prep for this particular flight!
Can you strive toward better security in Jesus in the days ahead so that your final destination is appropriately prepared and ready to be reached?
About this Plan

How can we best prepare to hear those hoped-for words, "Well done, thy good and faithful servant?" No one knows when that appointed time will manifest to meet the Father, so it is vital to do the prep work to be ready. Some know most of the runway is behind them, while many don't realize that it is already behind them and flight is coming. Let's search the Scriptures to prepare our hearts, minds, and spirits for that great reunion in the sky!
