Eleanor Roosevelt makes an astounding point in today’s quote. She brings to light the fact that WE control our feelings, and not the other way around. When we allow our feelings to control us, we have become like the beasts of the field. God created us in HIS image, not after the animals who are controlled by mere instinct.

Today’s Bible verse shows us that the battle takes place in our minds. In order to have peace, we must take every thought that goes against God’s truth and bring it into captivity. It is vital that we allow God’s light to expel all dark thoughts from our minds.

Satan wants us to believe that we are somehow inferior, that God doesn’t love us. Well guess what!? He knew us in our womb and we are fearfully and wonderfully made! (Psalm 139:13-14) I don’t know about you, but that sure sounds like love to me!

So, for today, let us guard our thoughts against Satan’s lies. Let us have faith in all of God’s promises of His love for us. Let us use His spirit, and allow his superiority to crush all feelings of inferiority we may be having in our lives. We serve a God who is All-Knowing. All-Powerful, and Ever-Present, and there is no way that anyone who is His child could ever be inferior.
