A Book Of Remembrance: Wisdom From The AgesSample

“The sun is new each day.”
-Heraclitus-
Today’s quote may only be six words long, bit it is packed with such a powerful message that is bursting with joyous truth. What an easy to overlook fact it is if you really think about it. How many times do we wake up in the morning and seem to be stuck in a routine? The passing days can seem to blur into one, monotonous rut. It can definitely bring one down into the depths of despair. Trust me, I know.
But today’s quote, and today’s Bible verse, reveal the undeniable truth that every day is new! Every morning the creator of the universe paints a different portrait in the sky for all of his children to behold with awe. What an astounding Father we serve!
In the same light, it doesn’t matter what we did yesterday, last week, last month, or last year. His mercy and compassion is renewed continually. When we confess our sins, He removes them as far away from us as the east is from the west. (Psalm 103:12)
So, for today, let us keep our eyes on the heavens and witness the spectacular scenery that God’s master hand prepares for us daily. Let us stand in awe of the beauty of His creation, and let His renewed mercies wash away our sins and guilt. Let us live today as if it was the first day of our lives, because in essence, it truly is. God’s love for us is renewed daily, and that’s a guarantee.
