Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneSample

For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister (Hebrews 6:10).
Are you tired from serving Jesus?
God is just and keeps a meticulous set of books. Those who labor to the point of exhaustion, which is the literal meaning of "labor," will be rewarded on the day of judgment. The Hebrew Christians who honored God, having ministered to other believers in the name of Jesus, will be compensated. We are to prioritize fellow believers to serve. Paul exhorts the saints at Galatia, "Let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith" (Galatians 6:10). Our Lord not only acknowledges our past service for Him, but also notes our present ministry. He delights in believers who have served Him in the past and continue to do so.
Employment Point: Serve God continually, while anticipating your future rewards.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions helps readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word.
