The Gospel of MarkSample

In verses thirty-three through thirty-five, we see the relationship intended for us within the commandments that God has given us. Relationships were always the goal. You can trace back to the garden and all through time, God’s one desire is to have relationship with His people, and to make a “kingdom of priests" (meaning representatives). Humans have constantly chosen to do life apart from this relationship, and thus the law was born. When humans choose the law over relationship the law began to get longer. Jesus is calling us back into relationship with Him and the Holy Spirit, to know Him beyond rules, regulations, and traditions. He essentially is stating, drink from the source. Follow me, and I will show you the way.
