This passage closes with the Lord charging His people to be faithful to Him and ultimately to love Him completely. The requirements and calling of following the Lord are clear - He must be "your life" (vs. 20), and if he is not in that place, we will never live the life He designed us to live. To make God our life means to trust Him with all things - school, sports, work, family, friends, dating - and ultimately look to Him as the Lord or Master over all of these things. Israel often went astray because their order of priorities got out of whack - if God ever came second, something was wrong.
Think it Over: Why would we want to put God first or prioritize Him? How do you need to do that?
