Is there anything in your life you can say, "As long as this is true, it doesn't matter what else happens?" That's a pretty intense and focused way of living, and there Is something captivating about it. We sometimes wonder why we're here or what we'll do with our lives, but Paul had an answer. He didn't have to think about it long; he was convinced his purpose was to know Jesus. That confidence was the rocket fuel that pushed him forward no matter what life threw at him.

This isn't just for super religious people like Paul, though. All Paul did was encounter the key to unlocking life: knowing Jesus. He met Jesus, and that shifted everything: it gave him purpose, drive, perseverance, and confidence. And the same can be true for us.

It's like a church mantra I heard one time: I'm a complete idiot. My future is incredibly bright. Anyone can get in on this.
