Excerpt: ...And I Sat There by Hazel Hoskins
God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken me?
Groaned Jesus on the tree:
As the thorns crushed His brow
And He writhed in agony.
God, are You there? Do you care?
Alone, forsaken, forgotten
To the Son it seemed to be;
But God was working out His plan
For all eternity.
My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?
I groaned in my despair;
Are you there? Do you care?
I'm asking not for a mighty wind...a vision
A still small voice would do.
But why this silence?
I know I have Your Word
But I long to hear Your voice...
To feel Your touch...
To experience Your love.
