Paul addresses the "super apostles" that came to Corinth and began to sway people away from the true gospel. Paul compares himself to these apostles and shares his credentials. His point is to throw all that aside and focus on the message of Jesus because those focused too much on their own credibility were clearly not focusing on the power and wonder of Christ.
