Great Adventurers (Week 6)Sample

Great Adventurers (Week 6)

DAY 5 OF 7

Day Five - Changed for good

Welcome to our Great Adventurers Devotional - we are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey and look at some of the Great Adventurers in the Bible.

Even though nobody liked Zacchaeus, Jesus loved him and wanted to help Zacchaeus to live a good life.

READ:

A Short Man in the Beginners Bible (pages 413-417) or in Luke 19:1-10.

A crowd of people stood outside Zacchaeus’ house and grumbled ‘why is Jesus there?’

Remember nobody liked Zacchaeus and they expected Jesus to think the same!

They didn’t understand that Jesus loved Zacchaeus and wanted to help Zacchaeus see that the things he had been doing were wrong!

But remember, Jesus will always forgive us when we say sorry for the wrong things we do.

When we spend time with Jesus, He will help us to see that sometimes the choices we make are not what Jesus wants for us.

Jesus wants us to know how He wants us to live, we can find out more about this by reading the Bible and learning about how Jesus lived His life.

ASK:

What can we do if we make some bad choices?

Remember, Jesus loves us and will always forgive us when we say sorry.

REMEMBER:

‘Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!”’ (Matthew 19:26))

SAY:

I’m an adventurer,

I am bold, I am strong with the word of the Lord,

I will follow wherever you lead.

I won’t stop, I’ve been set free.

In Jesus name, Amen!

About this Plan

Great Adventurers (Week 6)

In the Bible, we see that through ‘Great Adventurers’ God has changed the world around them for good. God can take the seemingly bad things and turn them for good. We will follow in the footsteps of these ‘Great Adventurers’ and see how God, through their boldness, changed the world around them! This week we’re looking at the story of Zaccaeus and our memory verse in Matthew 19:26.
