Great Adventurers (Week 6)Sample

Day Two - Changed for good
Welcome to our Great Adventurers Devotional - we are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey and look at some of the Great Adventurers in the Bible.
Although Zacchaeus was a short man, but he made a plan to make sure he could see Jesus!
READ:
A Short Man in the Beginners Bible (pages 413-417) or in Luke 19:1-10.
Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus so badly that he climbed a big tree just so that he could see over the crowds of people in the street.
Jesus knew all about Zaccheus. He knew his name, he knew that Zacchaeus was in the tree, he knew all about the job that he did.
Jesus knew just how much Zaccheus wanted to spend time with Him. He knew everything about him!
Even though Zacchaeus wasn’t liked by the people,he was very special to Jesus, you are very special to Him too!
Jesus knows everything about you too, you are very special to Him!
ASK:
Have a chat with your grownup and write down all of the things that make you special! Maybe you could send us a photo or video on Facebook or Instagram.
REMEMBER:
‘Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!”’ (Matthew 19:26)
SAY:
I’m an adventurer,
I am bold, I am strong with the word of the Lord,
I will follow wherever you lead.
I won’t stop, I’ve been set free.
In Jesus name, Amen!

About this Plan

In the Bible, we see that through ‘Great Adventurers’ God has changed the world around them for good. God can take the seemingly bad things and turn them for good. We will follow in the footsteps of these ‘Great Adventurers’ and see how God, through their boldness, changed the world around them! This week we’re looking at the story of Zaccaeus and our memory verse in Matthew 19:26.
