The Will of God: Part 1Sample

Doing God's will requires a sincere heart to serve those over us and under us.

• What is a 'bondservant'?
• What does He ask us to do with our earthly masters (leaders, bosses, etc.)?
• Part of doing the will of God is not just obeying our leaders, but to do it willingly from a sincere heart. What does that look like?
• Why do you think this is part of God’s will for us? How can it impact others? 
• What’s the bigger picture we can have in mind when we are submitting to leadership? 
• What is God's will for the 'masters'? Who are you a 'master' over? How does God want you to use your role as a master, leader, parent, etc.?

Ask Him to reveal to you if there is any part of your behavior that is tarnishing your witness for Him.
Confess to the Lord if you have rebellion or lack of submission or obedience in your heart when it comes to obeying your leaders (it could be our President, a Pastor, a boss…) Ask Him to help you to remember that you are to obey and serve as unto the Lord and not to man. Ask for His forgiveness and ask for Him to empower you with His Spirit so that you can obey and serve with a sincere heart.
