Day Six - God Gives Me Great Peace

We are on such an exciting journey with the Fear Busters!  We have learnt so much about how to overcome our fears. Tell us what your favourite part has been so far.  

Welcome to the final part of our Fear Busters devotional series! Today we are that God gives me great peace.

READ: 

‘The Lost Sheep’ in the Beginners Bible (pages 391-396) or in Matthew 18:10-14. Jesus told the people that a shepherd will look after his sheep and make sure that they are all safe. God does the same for us!

Peace means that we choose not to worry.  In our story, the shepherd didn’t worry about the lost sheep; he just kept looking for it until he found it.  Sometimes it can feel like we have to look for peace. We can keep looking for peace in the things around us but God is the one who gives us peace. 

Sometimes we can forget God is with us. We can easily forget that God takes care of everything and gives us all we need.  We can become fearful and sad about the things that are going on around us.  

But let's remember that God looks after us and will take care of everything that we need because He loves us and takes care of us! This means that we can have peace, and don’t need to worry about anything!  God gives us great Peace. 

ASK:

Are  you worried about anything today? 

You can pray and ask God to take your fear away, and give you peace! Whatever it is that you are worried about, nothing is too big for God. He loves you so much, He wants to bring you great peace! 

REMEMBER:

Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy good food and sweet drinks. Send some to people who have none. Today is a holy day to the Lord. Don’t be sad. The joy of the Lord will make you strong.” (Nehemiah 8:10 ICB)

SAY - FEARBUSTER PRAYER: 

You are bigger than my fears, you wipe away my tears. I have a voice to pray, you teach me what to say. I am brave because of you. This sickness just won't do. We tell it now to QUIT! We've had enough of it.
