Day Two - I Am Precious To God

We are on such an exciting journey with the Fear Busters!  We have learnt so much about how to overcome our fears. Tell us what your favourite part has been so far.  

Welcome to the final week  of our Fear Busters devotional series! Today we are learning that I am precious to God. 

READ: 

‘The Lost Sheep’ in the Beginners Bible (pages 391-396) or in Matthew 18:10-14. Jesus told the people that a shepherd will look after His sheep and make sure that they are all safe. God does the same for us! He will give you everything that you need.

Jesus told the people how a shepherd will count his sheep to make sure they are all there.  

Can you remember what the shepherd would do if one sheep was missing?  The shepherd would go and look for the lost sheep - ‘he looks in the barn, he looks in the stream, he looks in the hills’.  The Shepherd will not give up until he finds the lost sheep!  

God is our shepherd, we are His sheep and so we are precious to God.l Like the good shepherd, He will always keep watching over us. 

ASK:

Think about how God watches over you - remember you are precious to God. 

Write down some of the ways that God has provided for you and looked after you. Thank God for everything He has done!

REMEMBER:

Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy good food and sweet drinks. Send some to people who have none. Today is a holy day to the Lord. Don’t be sad. The joy of the Lord will make you strong.” (Nehemiah 8:10 ICB)

We do not need to be afraid about anything! God will give us everything we need, so we don’t need to worry! He will give us strength. 

SAY - FEARBUSTER PRAYER: 

You are bigger than my fears, you wipe away my tears. I have a voice to pray, you teach me what to say. I am brave because of you. This sickness just won't do. We tell it now to QUIT! We've had enough of it.
