#JESUS2020 - Daily Devotionals

DAY 33 OF 35

You are invited to a party. A party that starts with an empty tomb and has its culmination in heaven.

A few months ago, I was laying in the hospital with a suspected tumor. I did not experience miraculous healing, but Jesus carried me through this time in an incredible way. In the midst of my darkest moments, I felt great gratitude. Gratitude for my life with Jesus, for my wife, my son, my family, my friends, and my church. This made a way for joy and the celebration of my life.

During the most dramatic experience of my life, I was able to have many joyful moments.

Gratitude is a simple way to celebrate with joy. A way that begins with an empty tomb. A way which is celebrating Jesus’ victory. A way which carries out from sadness and depression.

A way which helps us to make it through difficult moments. A way which announces extreme celebration and joy so far above average at the party with a resurrected Jesus in heaven.

The past 40 days were an occasion to meet with Jesus, the Lamb. He delivers us from everything that makes our lives poor, sad and meaningless. The empty tomb is the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the world – a chapter of joy and celebration with Jesus.

ACTION STEP:

Be thankful. Start with the smallest things in your life. If it helps – make a list of the things you can be thankful for and add three new things every day. Celebrate life because it is an incredible gift from God.

About this Plan

#JESUS2020 - Daily Devotionals

The Lamb of God dies in Jerusalem, on a cross. Three days later He rose from the dead - sin and death are overcome. Two thousand years later, His blood sets me free. During the weeks before Easter, we want to acquire a deeper understanding of this fundamental event of our faith, get to know Jesus better and experience how His loving deed on the cross changes our lives forever.
