Furious Love
Veridia
I've struggled with self-image issues, especially in my teen-hood. Every relationship I went through left me feeling inadequate, until I met a man that loved all of me (so I married him), but I still wasn't satisfied with myself. I originally had him in mind when I wrote this song, but the exciting thing about any song or work of art, the more you listen or see it, you find something new that you appreciate or take from it.
For me, I realized that I was created perfectly imperfect...flaws and all, the one being who would ever love me with a relentless passion was the One who created me. So it has dual meaning for me. I've come to accept and love what I've been blessed with and hope that this song reminds all ears that we don't need the world's approval, to embrace your unique beauty, never comparing to anyone else, and to remember you are always loved.
Song of Solomon is such a beautiful poetic expression of a romantic love that sees no flaw, even though they inevitably exist. I believe God's love is more vast than a love that we could ever desire, and truly unconditional.
