Sacrifice
Sometimes we will have to give up things we want or things that are good in order to do what God is asking from us. As Jesus prayed in the garden leading up to His final hours of life, He prayed for God to take the cup of sacrifice from Him. Ultimately Jesus was willing to be obedient and sacrifice His will and His life so that we all can be saved. There will be times when we have to sacrifice both easy and hard things in order to be who God is calling us to be.
Goal:
God gave it all for us and calls us to do the same, even when it is uncomfortable. What can you give up this week to serve the Lord and others? Take some time today to pray for Missionaries who are sacrificing their lives in order that others may hear the gospel. What could you sacrifice to help support missionaries so they can share God’s greatest sacrifice with the world?
