Obedience 

John tells us in 2 John 1:6 “And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.”

Like His word says, if we love God, we will obey Him. Obedience can be hard to understand because we create crazy scenarios that God may ask of us. We could have a fear that He will send us to be missionaries to some unheard of country or to give all our money away. However, when we obey, we must also learn to trust Him. 

His ways and plans are so much higher than our own. We can’t comprehend how deep His love for us is. When He was speaking light to dark, He had you in mind. When He placed the stars in the Heavens, you were there in His plan. As we walk and grow in God, the desire to obey His commands will become something we desire in our lives. 

Goal:

God calls us to obey and wants it more than the best offering. How can you be obedient today? Take some time to pray and search your heart for any area of disobedience, and ask God to help you to correct it and walk in obedience to Him.
