“Before He can send you anywhere you need to know that God sees you right where you are.”
-Louie Giglio, Passion 2019
Looking toward a new season, with the possibilities for change and the potential for new beginnings right in front of you, you may be tempted to jump at every new thing that comes your way. Throughout Passion 2019, we prayed that you would meet with God, see Him rightly, and walk fully and freely in the plans He has for you. A.W. Tozer wrote, “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us."
In Scripture, the primary way God relates to us is as a Father. Not just any father though - a perfect, powerful, sovereign, caring Father. In the new year, it’s vital we see God this way. As His beloved children, we know that He sees us right where we are. He knows what you are walking through, what you are afraid of and anxious about, what you are looking forward to and what you hope will happen in the future.
Knowing this frees us to release all our hopes and fears to Jesus. His wide-open arms hold everything we need. His plans for you are perfect: they are plans to prosper you and not to harm you. And, as a perfect Father with perfect plans—He knows exactly what you need and when. So, before you ask God to send you anywhere this year, lean into Him. See yourself the way He sees you, and trust His strong arms and good heart. Know that God isn’t waiting for you to be perfect: He’s waiting for you to seek Him.
