There’s More EL ELYON

One of the problems we have when reading the Bible is whether a story is literally true or is a fictional metaphor to convey a truth. For example in Isaiah 55:12 it is said that “hills will burst into song and trees ... will clap their hands”. This cannot be literally true but it is true that there will be great rejoicing.

Whether you take the account of a staff becoming a snake as truth or allegory, it is true that EL ELYON is MOST HIGH and more powerful than any circumstance we may encounter. Even death will be swallowed up in victory just as Aaron’s staff swallowed all the other staffs. (1 Cor.15:54). 

Joseph is an example of this truth. He was rejected by his brothers and sold into slavery in Egypt where he was falsely accused of attempted rape and imprisoned. Yet he became the prime minister and saved his world and family from starvation in a terrible famine. He said to his brothers, “”You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good ... the saving of many lives” (Gen.50:20). Because God is EL ELYON He is able to rule and change any situation you face.

Prayer: Lord EL ELYON rule over my circumstances and turn them to good, even the saving of many lives
