Do Good To Another

When Jesus was on this earth, He went about doing good to others. He never once turned His back on those who came to Him seeking help. As children of God we are expected to do good to all. This is how the spiritual fruit of goodness will be manifested in us.

Many years ago, in a particular house, a child swallowed a coin and was wailing in agony. The parents took her to a doctor who was staying nearby. They banged the door and cried aloud, “Doctor, please open the door and save our child; she is dying.” This doctor had the habit of going to bed at 10 pm. As a policy, he would never open the door and attend to any patients after 10 pm. The father of the child continuously knocked the door for an hour. But the doctor did not respond and finally the child died in the arms of the father. As the days rolled by, the doctor’s child also fell sick and was on it’s death bed. He too ran from place to place in search of a remedy for his child. But it was of no use. Alas! The child died too.

My friend, a man will always reap whatever he sows. When you have the capability of doing good to others, do it with all your heart, for that is pleasing in the sight of the Lord. And He will make sure you will reap good for your good deeds. So, do good and renounce every curse from your family with one accord and enjoy God’s blessings.

Prayer

“Loving Lord, graciously hear me, O Holy Spirit, pour Your light into my heart, my soul and my mind. Let not my hands refrain from doing good but be generous in giving to others. I sincerely ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

‘Do small things with great love’

Blessing For Today

Every day we must know the plans that the Lord has kept in store for our lives. The Lord has given us His word to reveal His plans to us. He reveals His plans through the word of God as we read it with reverence and prayer. When we hear His voice through our meditation of His word our hearts will burn like fire filled with joy (Psalm 39:3). Then as we follow it with proclamation of those words through the power of the Holy Spirit through our prayer, the blessings of that day will come upon us. Not only the blessings, but the grace of God shall come upon us to carry out that day’s work.  We have compiled the Bible passage for you to read as well as the Lord’s revelation for each day. We pray that through this the Lord may give you the grace to be connected to Him throughout this year.
