Firm Foundation 

Many years ago, there was an earthquake. All buildings crumbled except one castle in Japan. Archaeologists were amazed and they examined the castle. At the place where the cornerstone was laid, they found a skeleton. Some gold coins were found underneath too. The custom at that time was, a rich man would call his most faithful servant and bury him alive as the cornerstone, when he constructed a building. With the trustworthy servant as the cornerstone the castle would be built upon him. The faithful servant would not cry. Instead, he would say, “My master has found me to be faithful. Let me give my life for him.” 

If a building can stand strong upon a man’s sacrifice, how much more will the sacrifice of Jesus do for you. Child of God! The truth is that Jesus has already become your Cornerstone. Now, you are being built upon that sacrifice. You are standing on His sacrifice. No problem can deter you. You will not crumble. You will withstand the fierce storms of life. Jesus gave Himself on the cross for you, so that you will stand strong in this world, by overcoming the wiles of the devil. 

Prayer

“Loving Lord, I thank You for Your son Jesus. I believe that no problem in this world can ever shake me. Lord, during tough times, I plead with You to establish my heart in Your grace and upon Your atoning blood. Increase my faith Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
