The Millionaire

A certain poor young man who had no place for God in his life started a dairy farm on a small scale. One day as he happened to read the Bible casually he came to know about the Lord. In those days, he could not afford to buy readymade cattle feed for exorbitant prices. Once, as he was reading the Bible, the following verse came before his eyes. “Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold.” Holding onto these words, he pleaded with God for wisdom, and received divine counsel by which he started preparing home-made fodder. When the indigenous preparation was given to his cows, they began to put on weight and yielded more milk than expected. In course of time, other dairy owners who observed this, they too started to purchase the fodder from him. So he began manufacturing the cattle fodder on a large scale. His industry, which had a humble beginning, flourished and he is a millionaire in America, today.

Perhaps you may fret considering your poor performance in studies, or your insignificant family background, or because you are ostracized by the society and eventually beset by the fear that you may not prosper at all in this life! But God is not partial. He who blessed Isaac hundredfold and turned an ordinary milkman into a multimillion business magnate can certainly bless you too.

Prayer

“Loving Father, I thank You for these encouraging words. I bring my unfruitfulness and barrenness before You. Please give me Your counsel. Make me flourish like Isaac. Help me to reap a hundredfold blessings. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

‘Abundant harvest is through God’s wisdom’

Blessing For Today

Every day we must know the plans that the Lord has kept in store for our lives. The Lord has given us His word to reveal His plans to us. He reveals His plans through the word of God as we read it with reverence and prayer. When we hear His voice through our meditation of His word our hearts will burn like fire filled with joy (Psalm 39:3). Then as we follow it with proclamation of those words through the power of the Holy Spirit through our prayer, the blessings of that day will come upon us. Not only the blessings, but the grace of God shall come upon us to carry out that day’s work.  We have compiled the Bible passage for you to read as well as the Lord’s revelation for each day. We pray that through this the Lord may give you the grace to be connected to Him throughout this year.
