Love is Obedient 

Once, while walking past a dilapidated church, Francis, an affluent man heard a voice saying, “Son, repair My church.” As he had nothing to do with God, he thought that he had imagined that voice. However, he was drawn towards that dilapidated church, and fell down at the altar. Even without his knowledge, the Spirit of God descended upon him and he became a new person instantly. Filled with the love and the joy of Christ, he embraced a leper who stood outside the church. From that day onwards, he started preaching about Jesus to everyone. One day, he spotted some fishermen at the beach. He tried to preach the gospel to them but they chased him away saying, “Your noise disturbs us from catching the fish.” Immediately, he began preaching to the fish in the sea, remembering the Lord’s command to preach the gospel to every creature. The fish which were elusive for more than 5 hours gathered in large numbers to hear his sermon. Amazed by the this miracle the fishermen listened to him and were eventually saved. 

Would you love to do something for God’s kingdom? Do you have the desire in your heart to do good for someone? It’s only the love of God, which is compelling you to do it. Obey His voice immediately without doubting. God will not ask you to do something for which you are not empowered. Obey Him and receive the reward. 

Prayer

“Loving Father, I thank You for the love that has been poured into my heart. Whatever your godly love is inspiring me to do according to Your word, help me to obey those promptings. Let me be a blessing to others and to God’s kingdom. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
