Golden Apples! 

Words are vehicles that carry either creative power or destructive power. In the Bible, timely healing words are compared to ‘golden apples’. Give these apples to others! 

Once, my mother, Mrs. Stella Dhinakaran, shared the word of God at the “Festival of Joy” meetings in Chennai. In her message, she narrated how we went through financial crisis to purchase the ‘Jesus Calls’ building. Following that, she also said how a stranger helped us to raise a loan from the bank to buy that building. That day, a sister who had been living in debts had come to the meeting with a decision, “I cannot live anymore. The only thing I can do is to end my life.” But, as my mother spoke, those words pierced her heart. She wondered, “How did Sis. Stella Dhinakaran know about my problem of debt? Only God could have spoken to me through her” and with this faith, she returned home. Similarly, a stranger came to her aid and God put an end to her problem of debt once and for all. 

Man looks at the face; but God sees the heart. Yes! God saw the heart of that sister and spoke to her heart through my mother. Decide to speak only words that will encourage others, today. God will give you the grace. Live and let live! 

Prayer

“Loving Father, I know that you see the heart of the people. You know their secret prayers. Fill me today with the grace to speak only Your words, which will build, edify and encourage others. May Your light shine through me. Let my words be like golden apples in settings of silver. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.” 

‘Timely words are like golden apples!’
