The Power of God 

In the Garden of Gethsemane, even at the darkest hour when the devil seemed to reign, the presence of God did not leave Jesus. To demonstrate the presence of the Holy Spirit within Him, Jesus touched the ears of the wounded soldier that Peter had struck, and he was healed. 

I know a servant of God whom the Lord used mightily. Due to a terrible incident in his life, he said “Hereafter, I cannot preach about God. His miraculous power will not be manifested anymore in my ministry.” One day while he was walking on the street, he passed by a lame beggar who was begging for alms. Suddenly, the lame man leapt to his feet! His legs received a new strength instantly. He shouted and danced with joy. Only then did the servant of God realized that the healing power of God had passed through him and had healed the lame beggar. He was filled with joy and started praising the Lord. He realised that though he was passing through so many trials and tribulations, the Holy Spirit had not deserted him. 

My dear friend, do not be grieved over your sufferings. Begin praising the Lord for His promises. Remember, the Holy Spirit will be with you amidst your trials and tribulations. He will manifest His power to you and through you to those around you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. 

Prayer

“Loving Father, I submit to Your will. Fill me with the Holy Spirit to fulfil Your plan in my life and to overcome sin. Help me to overcome the world just as Your son Jesus did. Lord, use me to bring healing and deliverance to the people in need. I thank You for answering my prayer. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray. Amen.”
