Transformed 

We have a powerful and merciful God. He knows that we have fallen short of His glory but His mercy is everlasting. He saved us not because of deeds which we have done in righteousness but according to His mercy. 

Several years ago, there was a young man who used to write and act in plays. He had the habit of reading the Bible regularly so that he could criticize Jesus in his plays. One day, while he was walking on the streets, he saw a big crowd in the church. He went near the window and made fun of the preacher who was preaching. Suddenly, the preacher pointed to him and said, “Young man, Jesus loves you”. Immediately, his heart was broken as he was convicted of his guilt. He cried for his sins and committed his life to Jesus. He was then delivered from all his bad habits. He lived the rest of his life filled with peace and was honored in the society as well. 

My precious friend, even if your heart condemns you, Jesus will not condemn you. That is the love of Jesus Christ. You will be transformed into a new person when you give your life into the hands of Jesus. He will rejuvenate and renew you through the Holy Spirit who is in you. You will be transformed not because of what you have done but because of what He has done for you. 

Prayer

“Loving Father, who am I that You are mindful of me Lord. Your word says that man’s life is nothing but grass that withers away. But still You love me with Your everlasting love. Let Your love transform me into Your image. This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
