Blessing For Today

DAY 280 OF 365

The Peanut

The Bible – Some of them think it is an outdated book. Some say that it is not from God. Few more read it to find errors in it. But it is the voice of God. Read on to find out how God’s word impacted a slave’s life.

George Washington Carver was born into slavery in Missouri. One day, he said, “Lord I don’t want to be a slave. Give me a revelation about the universe. Help me to do something great.” God gave him amazing revelations about the peanut plant. He did a lot of research on the peanut and invented many things from it. When he made a presentation about all his inventions on the peanut, one puzzled senator asked him, “Where did you learn all this from?” “From a book,” came the reply. “What book?” the senator asked. “The Bible,” answered the scientist with a smile. A humble slave became a renowned scientist.

Beloved, the Bible is an amazing book. You will find nourishment for your spirit, soul and body. It is a book of wisdom for all professions. It feeds people of all age groups. Read the Bible and meditate on it every day. You will be filled with God’s amazing revelations and wisdom. It will light your path.

Prayer

“Loving Heavenly Father, I thank You for the Holy Bible and for all Your wonderful servants who wrote these words through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. I praise You for it is available in my language. Your word is a light to my path. I pray that my eyes of wisdom and understanding will be opened as I read these words. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

‘Your path is always a lighted path’
