Life in the Word 

Smith Wigglesworth, the man of God had a dreadful kidney disease. He had stones in his kidney. He would cry bitterly, “Lord! You do miracles through me and heal so many. Then why do I have to suffer like this?” But as he got up every morning, before the pain seized him, he would repeat one Biblical verse several times, “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” His son-in-law urged him to have a surgery and get the stones removed. But he refused, saying, “If these words are true, God will grant me healing through them.” One day, all of a sudden, all the stones in his kidney disappeared from his body! 

Through God’s words, which he faithfully repeated, his faith increased. He received God’s miracle at His appointed time. Yes! God’s word is powerful. It does wonders. Keep this life-giving word on your tongue. Trust and confess it. Let His word be your meditation all the time. Meditation increases your faith. Faith brings miracles! 

Prayer

“Loving Father, You are the same forever. You are omnipotent. Your words are living and powerful. Even today, I believe that all Your promises for my needs will be met and will do miracles. Through Your promises, I will see the goodness of the Lord all through my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
