God’s Word for Success 

I remember a wonderful story that my father often told me. It was during the World War when the American Generals joined forces to attack Germany. As the German forces were very strong, the American Generals were afraid and didn’t know what to do. General Eisenhower was in that company. He was a man of God. He briskly walked in that morning with a bright face and said, “Is everything ready, shall we attack?” He looked at the faces of the other Generals and they were full of fear. But this man of God said, “My friends, why are you afraid? When I was reading the word of God this morning, the Lord spoke to me from Joshua 1: 5, 9 which says, ‘Be strong and of good courage! I will not fail thee, no man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life.’” He said, “As God has promised, gird up your loins and stand up! We shall win the world!” When they heard this, they all were encouraged! They won the war with these words of encouragement from the word of God. 

A busy Army General took time to read the word of God. Yes, reading the word of God every day, instils hope in you. The Lord can speak to you through any passage from the Bible. Those words will come alive for that day. The Word of God is the instant and perfect solution available for every problem. So read it diligently every day. Enter into the day with His strength and counsel. 

Prayer

“Loving Father, I thank You for Your wonderful words. I believe in its life-giving power, guidance and counsel. Give me the desire to meditate on them all the time. Open my eyes to see the wonders in Your word. May my meditation give me the ‘Word of God’ for every day. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.” 

‘God’s word is God’s voice’
