Are Your Dreams God’s Dreams? God gives us all dreams—those aspirations that transcend ourselves and tap into His supernatural will for our lives. But it’s important to understand the difference between good, God-given dreams, and bad dreams. Good dreams make us better people. Bad dreams tear us down and destroy us. Jesus says, “What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” (Mark 8:36). Bad dreams can cause us to lose focus on God’s plan for us and to follow our own deceitful desires. I’ve met people who went after their own selfish dreams and desires. But it ended up costing them their marriage, their kids, their spiritual life, their health, and their sanity. That’s the kind of dream that’s not worth following! But a good dream is one that fits with God’s will. It’s a dream that’s not just in your head, but it aligns with Scripture. So don’t be lured away by deceitful dreams. Instead, align your dreams with God’s plans and purposes, and you’ll never be disappointed! Prayer for the day: Ask God to help you to align your dreams with His will, so that you can experience the fullest life possible!
