Joyed Up Devotional

DAY 12 OF 21

KEEP UP WITH YOUR QUIET TIME

Worry is an unproductive mental activity. It only gets you to a worse place than you started from. Worry breeds noise - unwanted, random energy. Take time out to engage your mind in positive thinking and meditation. Take promises from GOD's word and meditate on them with the consciousness of GOD's faithfulness. Spend time with GOD. It could be 15 minutes of studying GOD's word, praying and listening to your spirit or hours of the same. Wait upon GOD, and you can be sure worry or depression will ease away. Cast your burdens upon the Lord, for HE cares for you. As often as daily, spend time with GOD, and that time will produce the fruits of joy in your life. Use it like medication. Be steadfast and religious with the time you spend with GOD, and the benefits will, of course, surpass your imagination.

Action Tip:
GOD speaks, and HE listens. Your quiet time is a time when you can speak to GOD and listen for a reply. It is in GOD's presence that you have fullness of joy, so spend quality time with GOD and make sure your attention isn't divided during your quiet time. Write things (instructions, inspiration, corrections) that come to mind during your quiet time in your journal and revisit them from time to time.

Affirmations:

The Word of GOD is a shield, especially in the day of trouble. Therefore, I deliberately meditate on GOD’s Word daily, and it produces in me the fruits of Joy. Day after day, my mind is renewed because I feed my spirit with GOD’s Word. I spend quality time with GOD every morning; therefore, my days are blessed and free from worry. I meditate on God’s word at noon; therefore, my mind is renewed daily. I engage my mind at night, remembering all that the Lord has done; my heart is joyful, and I leap for joy forever. GOD is the source of my joy; therefore, I am in sync with him every time. I am Joy-Personified. Halleluyah!
