Shifting Your PerspectiveSample

Day 5: Follow Me — No Matter What
Reading: John 21:15–22
Devotional: After restoring Peter and giving him a sobering glimpse of what lay ahead, Jesus said two words: "Follow me." Peter's first response was to point at John and ask, "What about him?" Jesus' reply was direct: "What is that to you? You follow me." It's a question that cuts through every excuse and comparison we've ever made. God's call on your life is specific to you. His plans for others — their blessings, their trials, their timing — are not your assignment. Yours is singular: follow Jesus. Not when it's convenient. Not when you have answers. Not when others are doing it too. Now. Fully. Through the unknown, past the giants, beyond your comfort zone. He's not asking you to understand everything. He's asking one question. Will you follow?
Reflection: Where are you waiting for perfect conditions, demanding answers, or comparing your journey to someone else's before you take the next step?
Prayer: Lord, I confess I've spent too much time watching others and waiting for certainty instead of simply following You. I release the need to understand every step. I release the comparison. Here I am. I will follow — into the unknown, through the hard things, all the way. In Jesus' name, Amen.

About this Plan

The way you see your circumstances changes everything. This 5-day devotional challenges you to trade complaint for gratitude, fear for faith, and distraction for focus. From David facing Goliath to Peter walking on water, Scripture is full of people who had to choose what — and who — they would fix their eyes on. Each day you'll be invited to see your situation through a different lens: God's.
