TOGETHER IN ONE PLACE
Devotional
As we begin this journey together as a church family, we’re reminded that God often moves most powerfully when His people choose to gather, to align, and to remain.
Acts 2 does not begin with fire, wind, or a visible breakthrough. It begins quietly, with a group of believers who made the intentional decision to stay together in one place. There was no indication that anything extraordinary was about to happen, no outward momentum, no sign that history was about to shift, and yet heaven was closer than they realised.
We can underestimate the spiritual significance of togetherness, but Scripture shows us that unity is not just relational; it is deeply spiritual. To be together requires humility, intentionality, and a willingness to prioritise what God is doing corporately over personal preference.
In a world that constantly pulls us toward distraction and independence, choosing to be present, engaged, and aligned as the people of God is a powerful act of obedience.
Before there was a suddenly, there was a gathering. Before there was a rushing wind, there was a people who chose not to scatter.
As we lead into this significant moment in the life of our church, we sense God inviting us into that same posture, to be present, unified, and expectant. Not just physically in the room, but spiritually aligned in heart and faith, believing that God is at work even now.
What can feel like an ordinary moment of gathering is often divine positioning, and what God prepares in unity becomes the foundation for what He releases suddenly.
May we be a people who choose to stay, to believe, and to stand together, trusting that as we do, God is already at work among us.
Unity is often the starting place of God’s movement.
Guided Prayer
Lord, we thank You that You are building Your Church and drawing us together as one people. Align our hearts in unity, remove distraction, and deepen our love for one another. Teach us to value Your presence among us and to remain faithful in gathering together. Position us in this season, that we would be ready for all that You desire to do. We choose to stay, to believe, and to trust You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About this Plan

Join us for a 7-day prayer journey guiding us to prepare for God’s “suddenly” moments through our activities of unity, waiting, obedience, and faith. The Bible reminds us that while God may move in an instant, He forms us over time. Each day positions hearts to trust His timing, respond to His Spirit, and embrace the ongoing transformation He brings, shaping us into a people ready for His purposes and presence.
